Welcome to AmbientLibrarian

This Wiki is dedicated to helping information professionals (librarians, MLIS students, and others) learn more about available web technologies. As a Wiki, anyone can read, discuss, and even contribute to the content on this site.

Specifically, this site is to:

  • Help library professionals stay current with relevant technologies
  • Share information on technology that can lead to better service for our customers
  • Find and contribute content related (but not limited to) Web 2.0 and Library 2.0

This wiki was originally created for LIS 5433, Design and Implementation of Web-Based Information Services, at the School of Library and Information Studies of the University of Oklahoma. The wiki title, AmbientLibrarian, was inspired by Peter Morville's book, Ambient Findability.
